Analyze the efficiency of air flotation and how it creates bubbles

Feb 20, 2019

The level of air flotation efficiency has little to do with the efficiency of dissolved gas, depending on the utilization rate of dissolved gas. High-efficiency shallow air flotation has a high utilization rate of dissolved gas utilization of nearly 100%, and traditional concave air floatation is only about 10%, which is due to the adsorption of high-efficiency shallow airborne suspended particles.

In natural water, suspended particles that are difficult to precipitate in a short time, most of which are 10-30VM in diameter, solid suspension particles above 50VM are allowed to stand for several hours, can naturally sink or float, and the particle diameter of emulsion Between 0.25-2.5VM, a small amount of large particles is about 10VM in diameter. Therefore, microbubbles around 1VM have good adsorption on most particles, which is also the direct cause of the high utilization rate of the local dissolved gas.

Air floatation has many effective ways to generate air bubbles during operation. One is that the aerated air float method is to provide a microporous diffusion plate or a diffusion tube at the bottom of the pool, and the compressed air escapes from the plate surface or the tube surface in the form of tiny bubbles. In the water. There is also an impeller installed at the bottom of the pool, the axle is perpendicular to the water surface, and the compressed air passes under the impeller, and the large bubble is cut into small bubbles by the stirring action when the impeller rotates at a high speed.

The other is a dissolved air flotation method. The gas dissolved in the water can escape from the water when the water pressure is lowered. There is also an electrolysis method, which is to introduce 5~10V direct current into the sewage to generate tiny bubbles, which are mainly used for small and medium-sized industrial wastewater treatment. Each different way can have different operational effects in actual operation. Therefore, in the process of selecting air bubbles to produce bubbles, reasonable choices can be made according to the equipment and its actual situation. Only the appropriate way can improve its performance. Certain work efficiency.
