How to ensure the thoroughness of sludge scraping by sludge scraper

1. Reasonable scraper design

Shape and angle: The shape and angle of the scraper is one of the key factors to ensure thorough scraping. The scraper is usually designed to fit the pool bottom well and fit the round contour of the pool bottom closely. The angle between the scraper and the pool bottom is also very important. The right angle can ensure that the sludge can be scraped up and moved smoothly during the scraping process. If the angle is too small, the sludge may not be scraped up effectively; if the angle is too large, the friction between the scraper and the pool bottom may increase, causing the scraper to wear too quickly, and may even damage the lining of the pool bottom.

Length and width: The length and width of the scraper should be determined according to the size of the sedimentation tank. For large sedimentation tanks, the scraper needs to be long and wide enough to cover a larger area of the bottom of the tank. The width of the scraper should also be moderate. If it is too wide, the scraper may encounter too much resistance when scraping mud, affecting the scraping effect and the operating stability of the scraper; if it is too narrow, it may be necessary to increase the number of scrapers or the number of scraping times to achieve the purpose of thorough scraping.

2. Accurate operation control

Speed adjustment: The running speed of the sludge scraper has an important influence on the thoroughness of the sludge scraping. If the speed is too fast, the scraper may "slide" on the sludge surface and fail to scrape up the sludge completely; if the speed is too slow, it will affect the work efficiency. Generally speaking, the running speed of the sludge scraper is adjusted according to the properties of the sludge (such as viscosity, density, etc.) and the conditions of the pool bottom (such as flatness, slope, etc.).

Track control: Whether it is a rotary or reciprocating scraper, its track needs to be precisely controlled. For a rotary scraper, the accuracy of its rotation around the central axis must be ensured to prevent the scraper from deviating from the bottom of the pool during rotation, resulting in the inability to scrape sludge in some areas. For a gantry scraper, the gantry must be ensured to run smoothly and accurately on the track so that its scraper can scrape sludge along every corner of the pool bottom.

3. Regular equipment maintenance and inspection

Scraper maintenance: Regular inspection and replacement of scrapers are important measures to ensure thorough scraping. Since the scraper is in contact with the sludge for a long time, it will be affected by wear and corrosion, and its scraping effect will gradually decrease. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly check the wear of the scraper, and when the scraper is worn to a certain extent, it should be replaced in time.

Overall inspection of the equipment: In addition to the scraper, the entire sludge scraper equipment should be inspected, including the drive device, transmission parts, tracks (if any), etc. Insufficient power of the drive device may cause uneven running speed of the scraper, affecting the scraping effect; loose or worn transmission parts may cause deviations in the running track of the scraper.
